Happy New Year!
It’s January. It’s cold. It’s snowing and wet. It’s difficult to get to and from work.
A new year is a new start!
Hope you all have a fantastic 2018!
This months agenda is a good one! We have two world renowned speakers in the PowerShell and DevOps fields:
- 7.00 - Introduction and News
- 7.15 - Green is Good Red is Bad - Turning Your Checklists into Pester Tests by Rob Sewell (@sqldbawithbeard)
- 8.15 - Application Provisioning with DSC and Octopus Deploy by Josh Duffney (@joshduffney)
- 9.30 - Thank You’s
Both Rob and Josh are very sought after speakers so it’s exciting having them speak to the group. Grab your tickets now from Eventbrite.
Switching to Eventbrite For Organising Meetings
Starting with this month we are switching away from Meetup.com to Eventbrite for organising meetings. So I need you to do 2 things to continue with the group:
Subscribe to group update emails. This allows us to keep you up to date on news with the group including meetings. If you don’t do this we won’t be able to let you know when meetings are taking place;
Grab your tickets for the January 2018 Meetup from Eventbrite. If you don’t do this you will not be able to join the meetings;
The current subscription for Meetup.com runs to April and I will continue to update the group pages with announcements until then.
I have a good lead on a physical location for the February meetup, scheduled for 28 February. Will keep you posted if this works out.
We have the April 2017 video on the YouTube channel with the other videos scheduled to go up there. I’m one person with a job and a life to fit things around so this will take time but bear with me.
Ways To Keep Up To Date
Here are all the group resources with ways to keep up to date:
… and finally …
The group is always in need of speakers so if you have a topic you’d like to talk about, whether that be a problem you have come across that you solved with PowerShell or a DevOps project you are working on that you’d like to share, please contact us.
See you on Wednesday!
